As IOTA commemorates its 30th anniversary in 2026, the 30th General Assembly of IOTA will be a key moment to reflect on current and future tax compliance challenges and discuss the practical application of AI technologies, like machine learning and natural language processing, and behavioural insights for enhancing tax compliance.

The Technical Session on “Empowering Tax Administrations to Tackle Tax Compliance Challenges through the Use of Artificial Intelligence and Behavioural Insights”, to be held on 17 and 18 June 2026, will explore how cutting-edge technologies and behavioural science can transform tax compliance strategies. 

Our agenda will focus on the following key topics:
• AI-driven solutions for fraud detection, risk assessment, and enhanced taxpayer services.
• Behavioural insights that improve voluntary compliance and optimise communication strategies.
• Practical case studies and innovative approaches shaping the future of tax administration.
