Azerbaijan and Israel broaden tax cooperation

The Ministry of Taxes of Azerbaijan hosted the Israeli delegation led by Mr Eran Yaacov, Director General of the Israel Tax Authority on 14-18 July, 2019.

In a bilateral meeting, Mr Yaacov and Mr Mikayil Jabbarov, the Azerbaijani Minister of Taxes talked about the future bilateral cooperation and exchange of good practices between the two authorities. The Israeli Director General was informed about recent amendments made to the Tax Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan, as well as about undertaken reforms in order to improve the efficiency of the Azerbaijani tax administration.

During their stay, Mr Yaacov and the delegation also paid a visit to the Call Center and National Revenues Department of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Taxes. Colleagues from the Ministry of Taxes presented them a wide range of examples from their experience about services to taxpayers and e-registration of commercial legal entities on the basis of the “One stop shop” principles.
