IOTA Secretariat Welcomes the Presidency of North Macedonia
On 24 September 2026, the IOTA Secretariat welcomed a delegation from North Macedonia, led by Ms Elena Petrova, President of IOTA and Director General of the Public Revenue Office of North Macedonia, for an official visit.
The visit followed the formal handover of the IOTA Presidency from Hungary to the Republic of North Macedonia during the 30th General Assembly of IOTA, held in Budapest from 16 to 18 June 2026. North Macedonia will hold the Presidency for the 2026/2027 term, with Ms Elena Petrova serving as IOTA President.
During the meeting, the delegation from the Public Revenue Office of North Macedonia and IOTA Secretariat Management discussed administrative and internal organisational matters, as well as key milestones in preparation for the 31st General Assembly of IOTA, which will take place in Skopje, North Macedonia, in June 2027.
The visit provided an opportunity to strengthen cooperation between the Presidency of North Macedonia and the IOTA Secretariat, align priorities for the coming year, and discuss the preparations needed to ensure the successful organisation of the next General Assembly.
IOTA looks forward to working closely with the Presidency of North Macedonia throughout the 2026/2027 term and to continuing its mission of fostering cooperation and knowledge exchange among tax administrations.
