New Commissioner appointed at the National Tax and Customs Administration of Hungary (NTCA)
Mrs Mónika RÓZSA SÁDT has been appointed Commissioner of the National Tax and Customs Administration of Hungary (NTCA) as of 15th September 2026
The newly appointed Commissioner of the NTCA has over 25 years of professional experience, including extensive national and international expertise in taxation, tax advisory services, auditing and corporate management.
Immediately prior to her appointment as Commissioner of the NTCA, Mrs Mónika RÓZSA SÁDT worked in the private sector for the Diageo Group. In that role, she led an organisational unit operating across more than ten countries and was responsible for overseeing taxation, reporting, compliance, governance, international trade and technology-related processes.
The new Commissioner is committed to further strengthening public confidence in the NTCA by fostering a transparent, predictable and professionally driven tax and customs administration. Under her leadership, the NTCA’s decisions will be guided consistently by legal requirements, professional expertise and the highest standards of integrity.
The new Commissioner of the NTCA aims to further simplify compliance obligations for compliant taxpayers while maintaining a strong and consistent stance against tax evasion, fraud and any intentional breach of tax legislation. This approach reflects the administration’s commitment to supporting voluntary compliance while safeguarding the integrity of the tax system through effective enforcement.
In a letter addressed to Mrs Alix Perrignon de Troyes, Executive Secretary of IOTA, Mrs Mónika RÓZSA SÁDT emphasised that:
International cooperation remains an essential pillar in supporting effective tax administration, promoting innovation and enhancing voluntary compliance. In this regard, the exchange of experiences and best practices within the IOTA Community is of particular importance.
