On 15–16 April 2026, the Intra-European Organisation of Tax Administrations (IOTA) participated in the Southeast Europe Tax Collection and Debt Management Community of Practice, hosted by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) at the Joint Vienna Institute in Vienna, Austria. IOTA was represented by Ivana Donchevska, International Taxation Expert, who contributed to the programme by presenting insights from the IOTA subgroup’s project on the Automation of Tax Debt Management Processes.

On 4 March 2026, IOTA organised the first digital event of the year, the ‘Webinar on the Use of VITARA for L&D/HR Professionals,’ listed in the IOTA 2026 Work Programme Calendar, which brought together over 170 experts and practitioners from the IOTA membership and beyond to explore how digital learning solutions can enhance capacity building in tax administrations.

IOTA is pleased to introduce the latest VITARA online module, 'Payment and Debt Management,' now the 22nd module in the portfolio, with thirteen modules available in English. Initially, government officials will have access for three weeks, from December 3 to December 24, 2025. Registration must be completed by December 16, 2025, through the IMF training platform. The module will be available again in early 2026.

IOTA is pleased to inform you that the complete VITARA Portfolio, including updated Microlearning videos, the latest Course Overview for September 2025, and refreshed Reference Guides, is now available on the dedicated VITARA e-learning page on the IOTA web portal.

This updated curriculum introduces two new VITARA modules focused on Taxpayer Registration (TPR) and Compliance Risk Management (CRM) in Spanish and French, along with a fresh collection of Microlearning videos addressing Institutional Governance. 

IOTA is pleased to announce an update to the VITARA Curriculum. The refreshed courses for 2025, along with microlearning videos, the Overview and FAQ document, and the recently published Audit Program Reference Guide, are now available on the dedicated VITARA e-learning page of the IOTA web portal.
