On 15–16 April 2026, the Intra-European Organisation of Tax Administrations (IOTA) participated in the Southeast Europe Tax Collection and Debt Management Community of Practice, hosted by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) at the Joint Vienna Institute in Vienna, Austria. IOTA was represented by Ivana Donchevska, International Taxation Expert, who contributed to the programme by presenting insights from the IOTA subgroup’s project on the Automation of Tax Debt Management Processes.

IOTA Webinar “Debt Recovery Challenges in E-Commerce and the Sharing Economy”

On 17 April 2026, IOTA delivered another engaging online event from the IOTA 2026 Work Programme Calendar, a webinar on Debt Recovery Challenges in E-Commerce and the Sharing Economy, bringing together over 100 experts from 27 IOTA member tax administrations to discuss emerging issues in tax debt collection in an increasingly digitalised environment.

New Payment and Debt Management Module in the VITARA Portfolio

IOTA is pleased to introduce the latest VITARA online module, 'Payment and Debt Management,' now the 22nd module in the portfolio, with thirteen modules available in English. Initially, government officials will have access for three weeks, from December 3 to December 24, 2025. Registration must be completed by December 16, 2025, through the IMF training platform. The module will be available again in early 2026.
