On 4 March 2026, IOTA organised the first digital event of the year, the ‘Webinar on the Use of VITARA for L&D/HR Professionals,’ listed in the IOTA 2026 Work Programme Calendar, which brought together over 170 experts and practitioners from the IOTA membership and beyond to explore how digital learning solutions can enhance capacity building in tax administrations.

On September 15-16, 2025, Alix Perrignon de Troyes, Executive Secretary of IOTA, participated in the in-person meeting organised by the OECD FTA’s HR Community of Interest in cooperation with IOTA in Paris, France. The two-day event facilitated an engaging exchange of views and experiences among members on the evolving challenges and opportunities faced by tax administrations in HR management amid rapid technological change.

Azerbaijan The 29th General Assembly of IOTA, "Adaptive and Agile Tax Administration in a Rapidly Changing Environment", took place under the flag of the Azerbaijani Presidency represented by the State Tax Service under the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan between 17-19 June 2025 in Baku, Azerbaijan. This historic city, located along the beautiful shores of the Caspian Sea, served as the venue for IOTA’s largest gathering to date, bridging the cultures and geographies of East and West.
